Beach Spring and Summer Alcohol Restrictions
The Treasure Island City Commission has passed an emergency ordinance prohibiting the possession of alcohol along a certain stretch of beach during certain days and hours. The restrictions are Saturdays, Sundays, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day from 8am till 6pm.

Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg
The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg takes place March 23-25, 2012 and is run on a 1.8-mile, 14-turn waterfront circuit that includes a combination of adjacent downtown streets circling Pioneer Park, the Progress Energy Center for the Arts, the Salvador Dali Museum and extending onto the runways at Albert Whitted Airport, which overlook the Bay and picturesque St. Petersburg Harbor and Marina.

After a year in the works, Treasure Island moves forward with the next phase of improving the city’s nearly mile-long gulf front beach trail. Completed plans for the trail overhaul project will be unveiled at Special Commission Workshop on Thursday, March 8th at 6pm.

Hop on the Suncoast Beach TrolleySM and you can explore all of the unique beach communities from its beginning at Park Street Terminal in downtown Clearwater to 75th Avenue and Gulf Boulevard. Check out the shops on Corey Avenue, enjoy the sights at John's Pass Village, or just take in a beautiful sunset. It's the fun, easy, and affordable way to do and see everything you want to on the beach. The Suncoast Beach TrolleySM runs every 20 - 30 minutes from 5:05 a.m. to 10:10 p.m., Monday through Thursday and Sunday, including holidays, with service until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Look for special trolley bus stop signs located frequently along the route. In addition to the services along Gulf Boulevard, connector routes run between the coast and downtown St. Petersburg. PSTA Bus Operators do not carry cash or make change, exact fare is required. The bus and trolley fare is just $2.00 per ride, or ride all day with an Unlimited Daily GO Card. GO Cards are $4.50 and are available onboard the trolleys, buses, or at various locations countywide. The fare boxes are equipped to handle $1, $5 and $10 bills but do not give change.
